Makoons Pre School

Our little spot here in Indraprastha Society stays pretty busy most mornings. If you know the Pune Solapur Road area in Hadapsar, you know how the traffic gets around Plot No 61. It’s mostly just us and the kids trying to keep things moving. We started this preschool because there were so many young families moving into this part of Pune lately. The building isn't fancy, but it does the job for the little ones who just want to run around and play with blocks. Some days it’s quite loud, especially during snack time when everyone wants their juice at the exact same moment. We spend a lot of time cleaning up crayon marks off the walls and making sure nobody loses their shoes in the play area. It’s a lot of work, honestly. The teachers here are mostly from the neighborhood, so we all know each other. We don't have some big corporate office telling us what to do every minute. It’s just us trying to make sure the kids have a decent place to spend their day while their parents are at work. Sometimes the gate gets stuck or the afternoon sun hits the front windows too hard, but we just deal with it. It’s a simple setup we’ve got going here on the ground floor. Most people just walk over from the nearby apartments. It feels more like a big house than a formal school most of the time.
