Makhdoom Corner General Stores

Makhdoom Corner General Stores is located right on the road in the Camp area of Pune. Specifically, we are on Poolgate Road, near the Chudaman Talim Masjid. This is a very lively part of the city with a lot of history. Our shop has been around for many years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We carry a variety of items, ranging from general groceries to small household hardware things that people might need in a hurry. Being near the masjid means we get a lot of people walking by, especially during prayer times. The shop is a bit of a tight squeeze because we try to fit a lot of inventory onto the shelves. It’s not the most modern-looking place, but it’s functional and serves the purpose. We don't have a corporate structure; it's just us working behind the counter every day. The street outside can get very noisy with all the traffic coming through Camp, but we don't mind it much anymore. We know the regular customers who come in for their daily supplies, and we’ve become friends with many of them over time. It’s a simple business based on being available when people need something quickly. We just open the shutters in the morning and do our best to help whoever walks in. It’s a local life and we are quite content with it. The old walls of this shop have many stories to tell.
