Make Over Beauty Parlour

My parlour is called Make Over Beauty Parlour and you can find us in Guruwar Peth. We are very close to Palana Ghar, which most people around here know. I started this business in this small shop because I liked helping the local women get ready for weddings and festivals. It’s not a big, shiny place. We have three chairs and a big mirror on the wall. I do all the basics like eyebrows, waxing, and simple haircuts. Sometimes I do bridal makeup too if someone asks. My younger sister helps me out when the shop gets full on Saturday afternoons. We don't use anything too expensive, just the normal creams and soaps you see in the stores. The floor is usually covered in hair by the end of the day. I try to sweep it up when I get a minute. We talk a lot with the customers about their families and what's happening in the neighborhood. It’s a very local vibe here. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour and we just sit and chat in the dark. That’s just how things are in this part of Pune. It’s an honest way to make a living. I don’t have a big sign, just a small board near the door. Most people find us by just walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor.
