Makarand S Hartalkar

You’ll find Makarand S Hartalkar over on the second floor of Goodwill House. It’s right across from Karve Road and just above the Nisarg Hotel, which is a pretty well-known spot for anyone living in Erandwane. Being in the Bhattha area means there is always a lot of movement outside. We spend most of our time upstairs working through various tasks and managing the daily side of things. It’s a regular office space, nothing too elaborate or shiny. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit of a climb but it keeps us active. Having the hotel right below is handy for a quick meal, though the smells often waft up during lunch. Most of our work involves staying at the desk and handling whatever paperwork or calls come our way. Karve Road is always packed with traffic, so the view from the window is mostly just cars and buses going by. We’ve been set up here in 3 B for some time. People usually come by when they have specific things to discuss or papers to sign off on. It’s a quiet enough place to get work done once you’re inside. We don't really do much in the way of big announcements, we just get on with the job. It feels like a standard part of the neighborhood now. Just a regular person running a business in a busy part of the city. We keep to ourselves mostly.
