Mahraja Pratap Singh Ju Dev Primary School

Mahraja Pratap Singh Ju Dev Primary School is situated in Ambegaon Budruk, inside the Spring Meadows complex at A2/105. We are right near the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway, so there is a constant flow of vehicles passing by not too far away from our door. Since we are in Survey Number 4, it is a residential area that has grown quite a lot recently. The school itself is part of a housing society building, which gives it a safe and enclosed feel for the younger children who come here. We have the primary kids here, so it is always a bit noisy with their voices echoing in the corridors of the building. The classroom at 105 is not massive, but it fits the small desks and chairs we have for the little ones. Being in Spring Meadows means we have to be mindful of the other residents, so we try to manage the morning drop-offs as quickly as possible. There is not a massive field for sports, but the kids find space to play near the entrance or in the common areas. The air sometimes smells like the rain on the highway, and we have a few windows that look out towards the hills in the distance. It is a very local school for the families who live in Ambegaon Budruk. We spend our days teaching the basics and making sure the kids are looked after. It is a plain, functional space.
