M S E D C Ltd is tucked away in the Purandar Housing Society, specifically at Flat No 932. Being inside a Mhada HIG Colony in Maharshinagar, Pune, means we are right in the middle of a residential area. It’s not your typical commercial office block. You have to navigate through the colony gates and find the right building to get to us. Most of the time, we are busy dealing with the local electricity matters for this part of Pune. Residents from the nearby flats often wander in with their bills or questions about a power outage. Our space is basically just a regular flat turned into a workspace, so there are files everywhere and a few desks squeezed in. It’s got that lived-in feel, not like those shiny offices you see in the city center. Pune 411037 is our corner of the world. We spend our days looking at spreadsheets and coordinating with the guys out in the field who are actually fixing the transformers. It’s practical work. We don’t have fancy signs or a big reception desk. You just knock on the door of 932 and someone will probably be there to help you out. It’s a bit noisy sometimes with the neighbors and the usual city sounds, but we’ve gotten used to it. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving for the local grid.
