We are over at Plot No 494 in the Dattawadi area of Pune. It’s been our spot for a good while now, and most people around here know where the building is. The street gets pretty crowded in the afternoons when the shops are all open. Inside, things are simple. We have a few desks and some chairs for when people stop by to talk. It isn’t a very big place, just enough for what we do every day. Usually, the morning starts with opening the shutters and getting the dust off the tables. Pune weather is alright most of the year, but it gets a bit stuffy in the office during the summer months. We just keep the fans going and get on with the work. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where we usually get our morning chai. It’s a quiet routine, really. Most of the people who come here are locals or folks who have heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just the name on the door so you know you’re at the right place. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up with the neighbors because the plots are close together, but we just walk it over to them. It’s that kind of place. Not much has changed in this part of Pune over the years, and we like it that way.
