Our shop is located on the ground floor of the Brahma Majestic building, right there in shop number 47. If you know the Nibm Road area, you know it gets pretty busy with traffic and people walking around. We spend a lot of our time cleaning the glass cases because fingerprints show up so easily on them. There are rows of frames on the walls and a small room in the back where we do the eye tests. It isn’t a huge space, but it fits everything we need for the day-to-day work. The Khondhwa Chandivali area has changed a lot since we first started, but the building still looks mostly the same. Usually, the mornings are quiet, giving us time to organize the contact lens boxes and check the new stock that came in. By the afternoon, more people start drifting in after they finish work or running errands nearby. We have a couple of chairs for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Sometimes the light in the shop feels a bit bright because of all the mirrors, but that helps when people are trying on different glasses to see how they look. We don’t have any big signs or flashy stuff, just the name on the door and the displays in the window. It’s a straightforward place where we just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on top of the schedule.
