Laxmi General Stores

Down in Yerwada Laxmi Nagar 12 4 is where you’ll find Laxmi General Stores. It’s a small shop packed with all sorts of things people need every day. We’ve got shelves reaching up to the ceiling and sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for without asking us. We try to keep things in order but it's a constant battle. The shop has been here for a long time and is a bit of a landmark for the people on this street. We open up early because that’s when everyone is out getting their morning supplies. It’s usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. We talk about the weather or the local news while we bag up their items. It’s a simple life at 12 4. The floors are worn down from years of people walking in and out. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If you need something, you just come over and see if we have it. Sometimes we run out of bread or milk by the afternoon and have to wait for the next delivery. It's just a local corner store. We don't try to be anything else. We stay open late most nights because there’s always someone who forgot something for dinner and we are here to help out with those last minute needs.
