Our business, Lashkare Saraf, is situated in the Narayan Peth area. Our specific address is 390 A. If you know Pune at all, you know that Narayan Peth is one of those old, traditional neighborhoods with a lot of history. The streets are narrow and can get quite crowded with people and scooters. Our shop is a straightforward place. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but in a good way. It feels solid. We have our counters and the area where we keep our stock. It’s not a massive space, but it’s organized in a way that works for us. We spend most of our day talking to people who walk in from the street. There is always a lot of activity outside our door. The 390 A spot is easy to find if you are familiar with the landmarks around here. We don't use any fancy lighting or modern displays. We just have the things we need to do our work. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the traffic, so we are always cleaning. It’s a very local way of doing business. We know many of the families who live nearby. It’s just us doing our thing in Narayan Peth. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We usually close up when the sun goes down and head home through the busy lanes. It is a simple life and we like it.
