Kundan Plastics

We’re located at 33/34 in Bhawani Peth, which is a pretty crowded part of town. Kundan Plastics has been in this spot for a long time, and if you’ve ever walked through the narrow lanes here, you know how busy it gets. Our shop is packed with all sorts of plastic items, from buckets to containers and everything in between. It’s hard to move around sometimes because we try to keep as much stock as possible on the floor. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that try their best. We deal with a lot of walk-in customers and people looking for specific sizes. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and counting items for orders. The walls are lined with shelves that go way up, and we usually have someone climbing a stool to reach something. It’s noisy outside with the rickshaws and the loaders constantly moving through the street. We don't have a corporate structure; it's mostly family and a few workers who have been with us forever. We open early and stay until the shutters come down late in the evening. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we like being in the middle of the market. It’s just how we’ve always run things here in the Peth. Sometimes the heat in the shop is a bit much, but we just keep the doors open and keep moving.
