Our office is in Flat 25 of Bldg B 9 at the Sai Raj Residency in Pimple Gurav, New Sangvi. Being in a residential building gives it a different feel than a standard office park. It’s a lot quieter, and we get to see the neighborhood life going on outside our windows. We’ve set up our workspace here to be functional without being cold. There are plenty of plants around, mostly because someone keeps bringing them in, and we have enough room for everyone to have their own space. Working in Pune means we deal with a lot of different people, and being in this specific residency makes us feel more like part of the local scene. We at Kpmg don’t really go in for the whole corporate ladder thing. We’re just a group of folks doing our jobs and making sure we don’t miss any details. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we take the stairs, which is fine by us. We keep the kettle going for tea and mostly focus on getting the daily tasks done. There’s no big manual on how we act; we just try to be decent and do what we said we’d do. It’s a low-key environment, which helps us stay focused when things get a bit hectic with deadlines. It’s just a regular office in a nice part of town.
