We’re located at Gate No. 679/2/1 in Kuruli, which is part of Taluka Khed. It’s just off the Chakan Anandi Road in Chakan. If you know the Chakan area, you know it’s the heart of the industrial zone. Koike Cutting & Welding (India) Pvt Ltd is where we deal with exactly what the name says. We have a lot of cutting and welding equipment around the shop. It’s a big space because the machines we work with aren't small. The air usually smells like metal and sparks. It’s a gritty job, but it’s what we do. We spend our days at the workshop or out in the yard moving things around. The road outside can get very dusty with all the trucks passing through to the other factories nearby. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear a suit to. We’re usually in work clothes and heavy boots. Our team at Kuruli knows these machines inside out. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we’re ordering parts or checking a manual. Most of the time is spent on the floor, making sure everything is running right. It’s a long drive out here for some, but being in the Chakan industrial belt is necessary for this kind of work. We’ve been at this gate for a good while and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We just keep the torches lit and the metal moving.
