Kingcrafts

Kingcrafts is based out in a place called Thikhi, which is a small area near Postbahulkheda in the Soygaon taluka of Aurangabad. We work with our hands mostly. It is a rural spot, so things tend to move a bit slower here than they do in the big cities. We make various items and crafts that reflect the different skills we have picked up over many years. This is not a factory by any means. It is more of a workshop where things get made one at a time. Sometimes the place gets a bit messy with materials and tools laying everywhere, but that is just how you know real work is happening. We do not have a big showroom for people to walk through. Most of what we make goes out to people who already know what we do and why we do it. We really like the quiet out here in the district. It gives us the space we need to focus on the small details of our crafts. If you are looking to find us, you will have to travel a bit off the main roads to get here. It is an honest way to make a living and keep busy. We use traditional methods whenever it is possible. Sometimes we try out new ideas just to see if they actually work. Not every piece is perfect, but everything is made with real effort.
