We’ve been here at Sumit Apartment for quite a while now. Being right near D A V School means we see a lot of the same faces every single afternoon when classes let out. It gets pretty loud in Aundh around that time with all the parents and students. The shop itself isn't huge, but we make it work with what we have. Most mornings start with just tidying up the shelves because things tend to get moved around a lot during the day. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. It’s just one of those things you get used to. People stop by to ask for stuff we might not have, so we write it down in a little notebook kept by the register. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise if we turn it up too high, so we usually keep it on medium. Living and working around here feels normal. You get to know which neighbor is going to complain about the parking and who’s going to stop in just to say hello. We don't really do much fancy stuff. It’s mostly just sitting here, waiting for the next person to walk through the door and seeing if we can find what they need in the stacks. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road construction nearby, but that’s just how it is in this part of town lately.
