Khodiyar Plastics

If you go to Shukrawar Peth and look for Lohgarh, you’ll find Sharma Estate. That is where Khodiyar Plastics is, up in room 703. It’s a busy building with a lot of movement. You see people carrying rolls of plastic or bags of material in the hallways all the time. Our space is usually packed with stock. There are piles of plastic items everywhere, and sometimes it is hard to walk through the room without bumping into something. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a workplace. The air smells a bit like new plastic and the sounds of the elevators going up and down are constant. We spend our time taking orders, checking the inventory, and making sure things get sent out to the right places. Shukrawar Peth is always crowded, so getting things in and out of the estate can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We’ve lived with that for years though. It’s just how the neighborhood is. Sometimes the fans aren't enough when it gets really hot in the afternoon. We just keep working through it. There’s a tea stall downstairs where we go when we need a break. It's a very practical environment. We don't have a big team, just a few of us handling the daily tasks. Room 703 is basically our whole world for ten hours a day. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It's just us doing our job.
