Khadkiagro Farmers Producer Company Limited is set up at Ghar No 05 in Kavitkheda. That’s in the Vaijapur area of Aurangabad. We operate out of Narayan Tukaram Boldhane’s house. It’s a small operation, really just a way for us farmers in the Kavitkheda village to work as one unit instead of several small ones. The address is 431116 if you are looking for it. We don't have a big staff or a fancy reception area with someone to answer the phone. It’s just Narayan’s place where we meet up to figure out our planting schedules and where we are going to sell our produce this time. Being in the agro business means we are always at the mercy of the seasons, so being together as a producer company gives us a bit more strength when we go to market. We handle everything from the seeds to the final sale, trying to keep things simple and keep the costs down. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset most days of the week. We aren't looking to become some massive corporation. We just want to make sure that the farmers in our little corner of Aurangabad can make a decent living. We talk about the crops over tea and sometimes argue about the best way to do things, but in the end, we are all on the same side. It’s just life in the village, working the land and hoping for a good season.
