Kangaroo Kids

Our little spot is tucked away on Lane No 3, just off North Main Road in Koregaon Park. It’s a leafy area, which is nice for a place like Kangaroo Kids. We aren't a huge institution with thousands of students; it’s a much smaller, more personal setup here. The building is surrounded by some old trees that keep the yard relatively cool even when it’s sunny out. Inside, things are usually a bit colorful and messy because that’s just how it is when you’re working with younger kids. There are always toys to pick up or drawings to pin on the walls. The teachers here are used to the noise and the constant movement. We spend a lot of time on the floor playing or sitting at small tables. It’s not a formal place where everyone has to be perfectly still. People in the neighborhood often walk by and see the kids out in the yard. We know most of the parents pretty well since we see them every day at the gate. The routine is pretty steady—arrival, some activities, a bit of snack time, and then some play. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We don't have a lot of corporate polish here; it’s more about the daily reality of keeping kids busy and making sure they’re okay while their parents are at work.
