Kanahaiya Traders

We’re over at 511 J M Road in the Camp area. Kanahaiya Traders isn't a huge operation, just a small trading setup we’ve had for a while now. The building is one of those older ones that has a lot of character, which is a nice way of saying the plumbing is old and the windows rattle whenever a big truck goes by. J M Road is always busy, so there’s no shortage of noise and people moving about outside. We deal with whatever comes through, mostly buying and selling things that local businesses need to keep going. Our office is tucked away, and it’s usually piled high with ledgers and samples from different suppliers. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we have a system that works for us even if it looks like a mess to anyone else. We don't have a flashy sign or a big glass front. It’s just a plain door and a small nameplate. We spend our days talking to suppliers and trying to get the best prices we can for everyone. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a bit of a slow pace compared to the big companies, but we like it. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the bricks. It's home.
