Kalpataru Patterns

We are located in the D 2 Block of the MIDC area in Chinchwad. Our unit is 64 12, and it’s a proper industrial space through and through. We work on patterns, so there’s always wood shavings and dust everywhere, no matter how much we sweep up. The sound of saws and sanding machines is the background noise of our lives. It’s a tough job and our hands are usually covered in something by the end of the shift. We’ve got a small team of guys who really know how to read a drawing and turn it into something solid. The workshop isn't air-conditioned, so we rely on the big shutters being open to catch whatever breeze comes through. It’s a very functional place, nothing is there just for looks. We’ve got shelves full of old patterns that we might need again someday. Most of our customers are other factories in the MIDC who need molds or casts made. We’ve been in Chinchwad for years and we’ve seen the whole industrial area grow up around us. It’s honest work and we take it one piece at a time. We don't have a website or anything like that, most people just know us from being in the block for so long. The floor is made of thick concrete to hold the weight of the machinery. We keep a small radio on the shelf that plays old songs while we work. It’s a bit of a mess with all the scraps of wood and metal, but we know where everything is.
