Kalpataru Architect

You can find us at number 28 on Kale Padal Road in Anand Nagar. It's a busy street, but once you step inside Kalpataru Architect, it's mostly just the sound of pens on paper. We started this place because we liked the idea of helping people build things in our own neighborhood. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the city. We just want to do decent work for the people who come to us. Our office has a few computers and a lot of old folders from past jobs. We remember most of them by the owner's name rather than the project number. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit by the window to use the natural light. It's not a perfect setup, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time visiting sites nearby to make sure the bricks are being laid right. If there's a problem, we just talk it out with the mason. We don't use those complicated software programs for everything; sometimes a hand sketch is just better for explaining an idea. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us. We drink a lot of tea and talk about how the area is growing so fast. It's a lot of responsibility, making sure a house is safe and looks okay, but we enjoy the challenge of getting it right.
