Kale Hair Dresses

My shop is in Narayan Peth, right on Kelkar Road. It’s Shop No.3. This area of Pune is always crowded and noisy, but that’s why I like it. I’ve been cutting hair here for quite some time now. It’s a small shop, just the basics really. I’ve got the chairs, the mirrors, and my scissors. It’s not one of those expensive salons with fancy coffee and music playing. People come here because they know I’ll give them a decent haircut without making a big deal out of it. Most of my customers are regulars who live around the Peth or work in the nearby shops. We talk about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood while I work. Sometimes there’s a wait, especially on weekends, so people just sit on the bench outside and talk to each other. I keep the place clean, but it’s an old shop with a lot of history in these walls. My father did this too, so it’s a family thing for us. We don’t have a website or any of that internet stuff. You just walk in, wait your turn, and get your hair done. It’s honest work and I enjoy the daily routine of meeting different people from all walks of life here on Kelkar Road. It's a simple life and a simple business.
