Our place is out on Sinhagad Road in Wadgaon(Bk.). We’re part of the Chintamani Industrial Estate at Survey No-64/5. It’s right near the Bhide Baug and that big Hotel Abhiruchi, so it’s pretty easy for folks to find us once they get into the estate. We specialize in EDM and wirecut services at Kakade Edm & Wirecut Services. Basically, we use electricity to cut through metal in ways regular saws can't. It’s slow, quiet work compared to a regular machine shop. You mostly hear the faint sizzle of the wire and the sound of water circulating in the tanks. We have several machines lined up, and they require a lot of patience to set up properly. If the wire snaps, you have to start the thread all over again, which can be annoying. The estate itself is always humming with activity. There’s a lot of dust from the road construction nearby lately. We have a tiny office where we keep the computer for the CAD drawings. It’s usually a bit cooler in there than on the shop floor. We aren't a huge firm, just a family-run kind of setup where we know all our regulars by name. People bring us some really complex parts to work on. We just take it one job at a time and try not to rush the process. It’s the kind of work where rushing leads to mistakes and wasted material.
