Jaydeep Packers & Movers

We spend a lot of time packing boxes at Jaydeep Packers & Movers. It's usually a bit dusty in here. Our spot in Shree Niwas is small but it works for us. We’ve been here in Anand Nagar for a while now. The morning usually starts with checking the truck. Sometimes the traffic on Shas Nagar Road is just too much, but what can you do? It’s part of the job. Moving people’s stuff is heavy work. We get a lot of tape on our hands and the smell of bubble wrap is everywhere. Usually, it's just a couple of us here drinking tea before the next job. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some desks and a lot of empty cartons piled up in the corner. People stop by to ask for prices and we just write it on a scrap of paper. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. The Dandekar Bridge nearby makes a lot of noise throughout the day. You get used to it after a week or so. We like being in this part of town because it's easy for the trucks to get out, even if the lanes are tight. Sometimes we stay late when a big move is coming up. The rainy season is the worst because we have to worry about the tarpaulins. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets really busy. We usually eat lunch together from the stall around the corner. It's nothing special, just honest work every day.
