Our spot is Jay Sales and we are over in Yerwada at D/5. It is a small place but we have been here for some time now. Dealing with customers all day takes up most of our energy. You get all kinds of people coming through the door in Yerwada. Some are in a hurry and others just want to chat for twenty minutes while they look around. D/5 isn't hard to find, but it’s tucked in there with some other shops. We have shelves filled with stock that we have to count every few weeks, which is probably the most boring part of the job. Usually, it is just two or three of us working at a time. We drink a lot of chai to stay awake during the slow afternoons when the sun is hitting the front of the shop. The floor gets dusty fast because of the road outside, so someone is always sweeping. We don't have a big corporate office or a board of directors, it is just a local business trying to keep things steady. We know most of the people who live nearby. Sometimes we stay late to finish paperwork or reorganize the back room when things get too cluttered. It is just a basic shop where we sell things and try to keep the accounts straight. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just open up and stay until it’s time to go home. It is what it is.
