Jain Bandhu

Jain Bandhu is at 191 J M Road in Yerwada. A lot of people get confused and think we are on the big J M Road over in the main city area, but we are definitely here in Yerwada. This place has been around for a long time. It’s a family-run business, and you can tell by the way the furniture is arranged. Everything has its place, even if it looks a bit disorganized to a stranger. We have big glass counters that have seen better days; they are covered in scratches from years of use. We sell a variety of goods, and we try to keep things that the local people actually need. The ceiling is high, which helps keep the place a bit cooler in the summer, but it still gets quite stuffy. We have a few old pictures on the wall and a calendar that is usually a few days behind. My brother and I take turns sitting at the front. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since they were children. It’s nice to see how the neighborhood has grown around us while we stayed pretty much the same. We don't do any big promotions or sales. We just open the doors every morning and see who comes in. It’s a steady life and we are happy with it.
