Internet Surfing

Out at Sr No 52 3 in Maruti Nagar, our internet surfing center is a small but busy little hub in Pune. We are right in the middle of a neighborhood where there are always people moving around, so we get quite a bit of foot traffic coming through our doors. The setup we have is pretty basic, with some sturdy tables and computers that have been around for a few years now. We spend most of our time sitting behind the main counter, watching the clock and making sure everyone has what they need to get their work done online. The floor is made of that standard grey stone that stays cool even when it’s hot outside, which is a nice thing during the summer months in Maharashtra. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny furniture; we just focus on making sure the keyboards work and the monitors don't flicker too much. Maruti Nagar is a lively place, and you can always hear the sounds of the local market nearby while you’re sitting inside. We have some regulars who come in every day at the same time, and we usually have a quick chat while they’re getting settled. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and it feels like a real part of the community here. We just keep the doors open and the internet running as best as we can.
