Ice Cream Magic

Mani Nagar in Kothrud is our location, specifically at number 14. We make the ice cream ourselves right here on the premises. It’s a small operation, and most of the shop is taken up by the freezers where we store the different flavors we have ready. We don't have a huge variety, usually just about twelve kinds depending on what we felt like making that week. Milk and cream come from a supplier nearby and we try to use fresh fruit when it’s in season and available at the market. The shop doesn't have much room for sitting, so most people just grab a cone or a cup and walk around the neighborhood streets. There are a couple of benches outside, but they get crowded quickly in the evenings when it cools down. Kothrud is a busy area and we have a lot of regular customers who live in the houses nearby. My wife helps me with the recipes and she also takes care of the bookkeeping. We don't do any fancy advertising; we just have a simple sign above the door to show we are open. During the summer months, it gets very busy and we often stay open late to serve everyone who comes by. It can get a bit messy with the ice cream melting on the counters, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We aren't a big chain, just a local shop trying to make something people enjoy eating.
