I Salon

I Salon is located in the Arun Housing Society in Model Colony. We are right by the Om Super Market Chowk, which is a busy little intersection in Pune. The shop is part of the local scene here in Shivaji Nagar. I usually get here in the morning to set things up before the first people start arriving. It’s a nice area with a lot of trees and houses around. Being near the market chowk means we see a lot of people going about their daily errands. Inside the salon, things are kept pretty basic. We have the styling chairs and the washing stations positioned where they fit best. It’s not a huge place, so we have to stay organized. I spend a lot of time chatting with the regulars about what’s happening in the neighborhood. We’ve been in this society for a while now, and most people know where to find us. The light comes in through the front during the day, which makes it a decent place to work. We don't use any fancy talk or try to be something we aren't. It is just a regular hair salon where you can get your hair done without any fuss. The Om Super Market is a handy landmark for anyone who isn't familiar with the lane. We just keep the scissors moving and the place tidy. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve gotten used to over the years.
