Govardhan Traders

You can find Govardhan Traders right in the middle of Karve Nagar. It’s a nice area to have a shop. I’ve been here for several years now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood grow a lot. My day usually starts with a quick tea from the stall nearby before I open up the shutters. Being a trader involves a lot of waiting for deliveries and then making sure everything is counted correctly. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space with plenty of room for our stock. Karve Nagar has a lot of trees, which makes the walk to work quite pleasant in the mornings. Inside the shop, things can get a bit cluttered when a big shipment arrives. I try to keep it organized, but sometimes the boxes just pile up. I usually have a radio playing in the background to keep me company. Most of the people who come in are locals from around the corner. We talk about the local news or how the roads are getting more crowded these days. I don't really use a computer for everything; I still like writing things down in my big notebook. It feels more real that way. By late afternoon, the shadows get long across the street, and I start thinking about closing up. It’s a steady kind of life, and I’m happy to be part of the Karve Nagar community. There is always something to do, even on the slower days.
