Gauri Architects Consultancy

The office for Gauri Architects Consultancy sits on J.M. Road, specifically at Station Road 1276/A. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets with all the people coming from the station. The noise from the traffic is constant, but after a few years, you just stop hearing the horns and the buses. We have a small sign out front that's seen better days, a bit dusty from the road. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves filled with heavy folders and boxes of old site photos. The lighting is a bit yellow, and the floor has those old tiles that click when you walk on them in certain shoes. We spend our mornings going through emails and trying to keep the dust off the keyboards. Sometimes we have to move three piles of blueprints just to find a pen that actually works. It’s not fancy or anything. There’s a small corner where we keep the water cooler and a stack of mismatched mugs. People come in and out all day, mostly locals or folks who work nearby. We don’t really have a reception area, so you just walk in and someone will probably look up from their desk eventually. Usually, there’s a radio playing somewhere in the back, but it’s always tuned to a station with too much static. We just keep working through it, drawing lines and checking measurements until it is finally time to lock up the office for the night.
