Gajanan Foods Ice Cream Parlour

The shop is right there in Bibwewadi, near the 12th B Main area. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the freezers and a few stools. We mostly get folks who are walking home after work or parents bringing their kids for a treat after school. I spend most of my day making sure the temperature stays right so nothing melts. It’s a bit of a struggle when the power goes out, but we have a backup. We have all the usual stuff people ask for, nothing too strange. Sometimes we run out of the popular ones on Sunday nights and people get a little annoyed, but we try to keep it stocked. The 2nd stage area stays busy enough that we don't have to worry about people finding us. I’ve been working behind this counter for a long time now. I know most of the kids who come in by their first names. It’s a quiet job mostly, just scooping and cleaning up sticky spills on the floor. We don't have any fancy signs or loud music playing. It’s just an ice cream shop where you can sit for ten minutes and then go on with your day. We like it that way. It’s honest work and it keeps the neighborhood happy. We are just a local spot that has been part of the street for years and we plan to stay.
