Gadiya Plastics is right in the middle of Nana Peth, near Majura Gate 81. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets. Our shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of plastic goods. We have buckets, mugs, storage bins, and pipes stacked up in every available corner. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles sometimes. The plastic has that specific smell when it’s new and sitting in the sun. We deal with a lot of people every day, from homeowners looking for a new dustbin to builders needing supplies. The street outside is always noisy with carts and people shouting. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a warehouse feel where things are piled up high. Sometimes we have to climb a ladder to get a specific color of bucket for a customer. Our hands get dusty from moving the stock around. We use a simple wooden desk for the cash box. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We don’t spend much on decorations because the products themselves provide plenty of color. Nana Peth is a tough place to work because of the heat and the crowds, but we’ve been here long enough that we don’t notice it much anymore. It’s just part of the daily routine here.
