G D Apte Co is located over in Pimpri, specifically in Sant Dyaneshwar Nagar. We are in a Mhada Row House, number 784 to be exact. Using a row house as an office makes the whole place feel a bit more like a home than a sterile business environment. Morwadi is a decent area, and being in a residential-style building means we don't have the same hustle and bustle as the downtown offices. We have the downstairs area set up for the main work, and the rooms are filled with metal filing cabinets. Pune weather can be unpredictable, so we are glad the house stays relatively cool. The street outside is usually lined with parked cars and scooters. It is a quiet spot for the most part, except when the neighbors are out. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one so people know they have reached the right house. Inside, the floors are simple tile and the furniture is old but sturdy. We spend a lot of time going through records and doing calculations. It is a very basic operation without any of the modern bells and whistles you see in the new tech parks. We like it this way because it is practical and doesn't cost a fortune to maintain. Most of our day is spent at the desks, occasionally taking a break to stand out on the porch for some fresh air.
