Forbes Marshall has been a fixture in Pimpri for a long time. Our address at A-34/35 in the 'H' Block of MIDC is quite a large site. Being in the Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial belt means we are surrounded by all kinds of manufacturing plants. Our focus is mainly on steam engineering and instrumentation, which involves a lot of heavy components and specialized knowledge. If you walk through the gates, you’ll see big sheds and plenty of movement. It’s a working site, so there’s always a forklift moving somewhere or a truck loading up. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It’s more about the work being done out in the shop and in the technical bays. The staff here is a mix of young engineers and guys who have been here since the gates first opened. It’s a bit of a walk from one end of the premises to the other. During the monsoon, the yard gets a bit muddy, but we just keep going. We have our own canteen where most of us sit and talk about the day’s problems. It’s a very grounded place to work. We aren’t big on corporate buzzwords. We just talk about pressure, temperature, and how to keep things running smoothly for the plants we serve. It’s just how things are done here in 'H' Block, day after day.
