Excel Infra Engineering Madurai Pvt Ltd is based on Bahu Patil Road, specifically inside the Gidc Industrial Estate at Flat No. 9. Being in an industrial estate means there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving in the background. It isn't the quietest place to work, but it’s where the action is. Our office is in a flat, so it feels a bit more personal than those huge glass towers you see in the city. We have our desks and our drawings spread out everywhere. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of projects going on at once. Bahu Patil Road can get quite dusty with all the construction and industrial activity around Gidc, but we don't mind it much. It’s just part of the environment here. We have a small group of people who know their way around engineering and we spend a lot of time talking over plans and checking figures. It’s not a flashy lifestyle. Most of us wear heavy boots and don’t mind getting our hands dirty if we have to. We’ve been at Flat No. 9 for a bit now and the neighbors in the estate are mostly doing the same thing as us, just trying to get the job done. It’s a straightforward setup for Excel Infra Engineering, and we like it that way because it keeps us focused on the actual engineering work instead of worrying about how the office looks.
