Diamond Scrap Center

Diamond Scrap Center sits right in the middle of Kasarwadi, near that Abhinandan Textile Market. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of all the trucks moving around the market area. We spend most of our time out in the yard sorting through piles of stuff. It’s heavy work, mostly metal and whatever else people bring in. The sun gets really hot over the metal piles by noon. Our office is just a small corner with a desk and some ledgers where we track everything. It’s messy because that’s just the nature of scrap. You can’t really keep a place like this clean for more than ten minutes. We have a couple of guys who help with the loading. Most days are just spent weighing things and moving piles from one side to the other. Sometimes people come in looking for specific parts or pieces of copper. The textile market next door is a different world with all the fabrics and people, while we’re over here dealing with rust and iron. It gets loud with the clanging of metal, but nobody really minds. We’ve got a routine down. We open up early, drink some tea, and start sorting. It’s a basic business. We don’t have a website or anything. If someone needs to find us, they just look for the big gate and the stacks of scrap near the market entrance.
