Ashok Dasharath Dhende runs things here at Gokhale Nagar 1008 107. It's been around for a bit. People in the area know us mostly by the name. We open early most days because that's when work starts. The shop isn't fancy. There’s a lot of stuff piled up usually. We do what needs doing. Gokhale Nagar is a busy place, always people moving around. We try to keep up with what folks ask for. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in here. If you come by, you might have to wait a minute if we are talking to someone else. It's just how it goes. My family helps out sometimes too. We’ve lived around here for a long time. It’s a good spot, number 107. You can’t miss it if you know the landmark. We don’t do big ads or anything. Most people just walk in. We talk, we figure out what they need, and we get to it. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. It's a simple way of working. No big meetings or fancy clothes. Just plain work every day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New buildings coming up and old ones getting fixed. We stay here and keep doing our thing. It's not complicated. Just a local place for local people. If you need something, you just come and ask. We're usually here until late evening when the sun goes down. That's about it. We just keep it simple and focus on the day.
