Our office is on the first floor of Niranjan Apartments, which is Plot No. 1536 on Bajirao Road. We are right in the middle of Sadashiv Peth, which is a very old and busy part of the city. Being next to Amit House is the best way to find us if you are walking along the road. The traffic on Bajirao Road is almost constant, so there is always a hum of bikes and buses outside our window. The apartment itself is older, with those high ceilings and thick walls that you find in this area. We have turned the main rooms into our design studio and workspace. It is usually a bit chaotic inside, with interior samples, wood pieces, and fabric swatches lying on every available surface. We do our best to stay organized, but when you are in the middle of an architecture project, things tend to spread out. We spend our days drawing, talking to vendors on the phone, and trying to figure out how to fit everything into our plans. It’s a functional space where the focus is on the work, not on making the office look like a showroom. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit worn down, but the building has a lot of history. We like being in Sadashiv Peth because everything we need is just a short walk away, even if the parking is a nightmare.
