Deshpande & Co

Deshpande & Co is located at Sadashiv Peth on Bajirao Road, number 1262. This part of the city has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it. The office is in an old building with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. It stays relatively cool inside even when it’s baking outside on Bajirao Road. We handle a lot of accounts and legal-related papers for the local community. There’s always the sound of scooters zooming past outside. We have a big clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly, which is the main sound in the room when we’re all focused on our work. We’ve known most of our clients since they were much younger. It’s the kind of place where people stop by just to say hello and maybe have a quick chat about the weather or the local news. We don't have any fancy carpets or expensive furniture. It’s just sturdy chairs and big tables covered in files. We use a lot of blue ink and go through many notebooks every month. Most days we take a long break in the afternoon when the sun is at its peak. Then we work late into the evening to catch up. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and it’s what we are used to. We don't see any reason to change how we operate after all these years in Sadashiv Peth. Sometimes we bring in sweets to share when someone has a birthday.
