Deodhar Eye Hospital

We are located at 39/25 Karve Road, which is a spot most people in Pune can find easily. If you know where Kaka Halwai is, we are right behind it, opposite Ayurved Rasashala. It’s a very central location, though Karve Road can be a real nightmare for traffic during the evening rush hour. Our hospital has been around for quite a bit. It’s an eye hospital, so we spend our days checking visions and helping people see a bit clearer. The building itself is nothing out of the ordinary, just a solid place where we do our work. We aren't a massive chain with shiny lobbies; we are more of a local institution. People trust us because they've been coming here for generations. You’ll often see elderly patients sitting in the waiting area chatting with each other while they wait for their eye drops to work. It’s a very human place. We have the necessary machines for eye exams and surgeries, but we don't feel the need to show them off. We just use them to do the job. The staff here is mostly local, so we speak the language and know the shortcuts to avoid the main road traffic when we leave for the day. It’s a busy life here, but it feels good to help someone read the newspaper again or drive safely. We keep things simple and honest. We just do our best for every eye that comes through the door.
