Dattatray Narayan Kale

This is where Dattatray Narayan Kale is based, right on Nagar Road very close to the Zakaria Masjid. Our specific address is 49 2, which is fairly easy to find once you are in the vicinity of the masjid. It is a very busy part of the city, so there is always something happening right outside our window. The regular call to prayer from the masjid gives us a very good sense of time as the day moves along. We have been at this particular location for quite a while now, and the whole neighborhood feels like a real community to us. Nagar Road is always packed with people, especially in the late evenings when everyone is heading home or stopping to get something to eat at the stalls. Our office is a simple one, tucked inside a building that has definitely seen better days, but it works perfectly fine for what we need. We have some old wooden furniture and a lot of paper files that always seem to need more organizing. It can feel a bit cramped when more than two or three people are inside at the same time, but we manage to make it work. Sometimes the traffic noise from the road gets so loud that we have to shut the windows tight, even if it makes the room get warm. We know all the shopkeepers next door and often share a few words with them during our afternoon breaks. It is a very practical place to be.
