Koneri Engineering

We run Koneri Engineering and we’re out at Survey No. 64/A in the Dangat Industrial Estate. Our place is near the Jain Temple in Badgaon, and we’re right next to the big Bombay Bangalore Highway bridge. You can’t really miss the sound of the trucks and cars zooming by on the highway all day and night. Being on Sinhgad Road makes it easy for us to get parts in and out. The workshop is a big open space where we handle different engineering tasks. We have lathes and welding equipment scattered around. There’s always a bit of grease on everything, and the floor is stained with oil. We don't have a proper cooling system, so we just keep the big shutters open to get a breeze from the highway. The temple nearby brings a bit of peace to the area, but mostly it’s just the sound of metal hitting metal in our shed. We aren't big on decorations. We have some old calendars on the wall and a few chairs for when we take our lunch. Most of our day is spent standing up or leaning over machines. We just take the jobs as they come and try to get the parts finished according to the drawings we're given. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We like being in this part of Badgaon.
