Dainik Sandhya

Our office is based in Pune, specifically at Wadgao Sheri in Sainik Wadi. We are located in the Karan Gharonda E Building, Flat No 3. It’s a residential building, so it feels more like a home than a typical office space. We run Dainik Sandhya from here. Being near the Vithalanjan Mangal Karyalay means we hear a lot of music and celebrations throughout the week. It adds some character to the day, though it can be a bit loud when we are trying to focus. The flat itself is pretty simple. We have turned the main rooms into workspaces with desks and computers. There are books and papers everywhere you look. It is not the most organized place, but we know where everything is kept. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of employees. We are a small team that has worked together for a long time. We know each other’s habits and how we like our coffee. The balcony has a few plants that we sometimes forget to water, but they seem to survive anyway. We like being in this part of Pune because it feels lived-in and real. We don't have a big sign out front or a fancy reception desk. People usually just knock and walk in. It’s a practical, straightforward way to work. We spend our days typing away and talking to people on the phone, just trying to get the next edition ready without too much trouble.
