D D Deshmukh

Antop Hill is a place with a lot of history, and D D Deshmukh is right in the middle of it at the Parvati building. We are at number 65. The area is always alive with the sounds of Mumbai. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift isn't working, which happens more often than we’d like. Our office is pretty straightforward. We have a big table in the center where most of the work happens and some shelves against the wall. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of files to go through. The light in the morning is actually quite nice before it gets too hot. We’ve been in this building for years, so we know all the security guards and the other tenants. It’s a practical location for us. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or expensive art. The walls are mostly bare except for a calendar and a clock that’s a few minutes slow. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and the building gets very quiet then. It’s just a regular workplace for regular people. We don't have any grand plans to move or change things around. This spot in Antop Hill feels like home to us now, and we're used to the rhythm of the place, even the noises from the neighbors.
