We are based at Q13 in Sacred Heart Town, which is in the Wanowrie area. It is a bit quieter here than the middle of the city, which we appreciate. We do fashion and garment work, so our place is always full of dresses, fabrics, and mannequins. It’s not a very big unit, but we make the most of the space we have. We have a couple of tailors who do the actual sewing, and I mostly look after the designs and talking to the people who come in. We don't have a fancy window display or anything like that. People usually find out about us from their neighbors or friends in Wanowrie. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. We often have a radio playing in the background while we work. The light in the shop is actually quite good because of the large window at the back. We spend a lot of time matching threads to fabrics and making sure the patterns are cut right. It’s a lot of small details that you have to get right or the whole thing looks wrong. We aren't a big company, just a small local outfit trying to make nice clothes. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack boxes in the hallway, but we manage. It is a decent way to spend the day, working with our hands.
