Our yard is out at Gate No. 675/1 in Kuruli, right off the Pune Nashik Highway. If you’re driving past the Kishor Pump, we’re just a little further along, right next to Hotel Sanjana. This part of Taluka Khed is always busy with trucks, and we’re right in the middle of it. We deal with refrigerated transport, so our main concern is always the temperature inside the containers. The engines are usually humming in the background as the cooling units run. It gets pretty dusty out here by the highway, and the monsoon season turns everything into a bit of a mess, but the work doesn't stop. Most of our drivers are locals who know these roads like the back of their hands. We spend a lot of time checking logs and making sure the trucks are ready to head out for long hauls. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure a load gets picked up at the right time so nothing spoils. Sometimes the traffic on the highway is a nightmare, especially near the intersections, but we manage. We aren’t a giant corporation with a thousand people; we’re just a practical team keeping things cold while they move from one place to another. You can usually find someone at the gate checking paperwork or helping a driver back into a tight spot. It’s a lot of long hours, but we get the job done without much fuss.
