Our shop is located at 561 Centre Street in the Camp area of Pune. If you know Camp, you know it has a totally different feel than the rest of the city. It’s got those old colonial-style buildings and wide streets, though Centre Street itself can get pretty packed with shoppers on the weekends. We are tucked away in one of the older buildings here. The ceilings are high and the floors are that old stone type that stays cool even in May when it is very hot. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for years. You can walk out the door and find almost anything you need within five minutes. We don’t have a shiny modern office. Our furniture is mostly wooden and has some scratches on it from years of use. It feels like home to us. The bells from the nearby places and the sounds of the vendors are just part of the background noise. We usually have a lunch break where we go get some local snacks from the nearby bakeries. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We talk to our customers like they’re our neighbors, because most of them are. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us so far. We just focus on the task at hand and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. It's a nice little corner of Pune to be in.
