Commodt Merchant'S India Private Limited is situated right in the middle of the chaos of Pune’s Market Yard. We are in G. S. Tower, on the second floor at Flat No. 2. If you know the area, we are directly opposite Gate No 9. It’s a very loud place to work because of all the trucks and the laborers shouting to each other early in the morning. This is where all the big commodity trading happens in the city. Our office isn't very large, but it’s packed with ledgers and phones that never seem to stop ringing. We deal with various merchants and sellers who bring their goods to the yard. Being at Sr. No. 58/6/2 puts us right where the action is. You can smell the grains and spices in the air every single day. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in, sit on the stools, and talk about market prices. Most of the furniture is old wooden desks that have been here for years. We spend our time tracking what’s coming in from the farms and where it needs to go next. The traffic around the tower is always a mess, but that’s just how Market Yard is. We’ve grown used to the noise of the horns and the constant movement of people outside our window. It's a busy life for a merchant.
