Choice Beauty Parlour

Choice Beauty Parlour is located in the Parvati area, right near the Hanuman Mandir in Laxmi Nagar. Because we are so close to the temple, we often hear the bells ringing and the morning prayers while we are working inside. Our address is in the 411009 area of Pune. The shop itself is very simple. We have a few mirrors and the basic chairs that you would expect in any local parlor. There is usually a faint smell of hair oil and some talcum powder in the air. We don't have any of those big, bright neon signs outside. There is just a small board with our name on it. Since the shop is quite small, we mostly only see one or two people at a time. It is a real neighborhood spot, so there is always a lot of gossip and chatting happening while we work. We usually know when someone’s daughter is getting married or when a family is planning to move away. We keep a small stack of old magazines for people to look at while they wait, though most people just prefer to talk instead. The lighting inside is just regular tube lights that we turn on in the morning. We don't have a big team of employees, just a few of us doing the daily work. Sometimes when it is slow, we just sit outside on the steps.
